Personal Stress Relief from Economic, Environmental Issues

Here’s an instance where I believe most of us, “the little people,” have the most frustration. While we go through the motions busting our butts, the government and people will all the money are making all the decisions that are controlling those of us who are affected. A trillion dollar bailout for whom? Millions of dollars for what? Not us!!!
There are simple solutions and those of us who need the help the most know what they are. Recently, in the Business Section of the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper there was this article,
which many of us have read, asking readers for ideas on “How Would You Fix the Economy?”

Dear Mr. President,
Patriotic retirement: There’s about 40 million people over 50 in the work force; pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations:
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings – Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered – Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage – Housing Crisis fixed.
I would like to believe that if enough of us contribute to finding a solution that would aid “The People” that someone might listen and pay attention to us!

Every time you turn around there are new ideas and different recommendations on what we can do to “go green” at home. It would be a wonderful thing if each and every one of us would do every thing we can to help “save our environment.”
It would also be wonderful if we were all able to afford solar panels and hybrid cars. You would think affordability for such a worthy cause would be a priority. Apparently not!
There are, however, things we can all do. I’ve come across such a wealth of ideas, some easy to implement, some take some work and adjustment. My feeling is that if each of us does what we can, then maybe the small changes will make a big difference. Here is one avenue to pass along viable ideas.

It’s almost understandable, but certainly not acceptable that some people go through their lives as if they have no effect on those they encounter. Almost daily someone somewhere amazes me by being so oblivious to their actions. Simple things like saying, “thank you” when someone holds a door open for you has almost become obsolete. Maybe, we’re becoming a society that is so wrapped up in the stress of our day to day activities that we don’t open our eyes to what is around us. Possibly, with the wonders of technology we’ve become a society so removed from human interaction that so many, just don’t understand how they affect those around them. I’d like to use this post to list the things that people do that are so inconsiderate that they warrant mentioning. My hope is that, if you recognize yourself you will make a change in yourself to become a better person. It can make or break someone’s day!! Imagine a society of people that truly care about one another!
