Just as I had the first time, I made my rounds looking for my machine. This time, however, I was looking for a penny machine that had a maximum of 20 lines that you could play. While I was wondering I was distracted by one machine that was “dinging” non-stop. The name of this slot machine was “Millionaire Sevens” and although someone was playing that one there were five others next to it. Seven is Mike’s lucky number; he was the seventh child out of eleven. “Millionaire,” obviously enticing, I sat down.

This slot machine had a 30 line maximum and I figured I’d play just as my dad had instructed. Keep it on the maximum for lines and continue to play one penny.

As I was playing the person at the “dinging” machine got up and someone else sat down. No sooner did they sit down and it was “dinging” again. Mind you, my machine wasn’t “dinging.” Out of frustration, I guess I decided that the slot machine I was playing had to start hitting soon, so I increased to ten cents a line, then twenty, then back down to one. I watched my credits dwindle much faster than they had on my first adventure until I was down to twenty five cents. At that point, to stretch it out a bit I returned to one line for one penny. All gone in about a minute.

My conclusion was that I still have no idea what I’m doing, but now I’ve given the casino $40 and I want it back. My parents offered to come with me and show me the ropes. I’m looking forward to learning and recouping my losses and maybe, just maybe posting about my big win! More to come……
