RIDING BUMPERS
I often wonder if drivers know how annoying and dangerous it is to ride on someones bumper. Yesterday I was driving down a road that has one light after another. The speed limit being 40 MPH, I was doing close to 50 MPH, as all good drivers do
Three times as I was driving a half mile stretch, the driver in back of me would speed up, (as I gasped), ride my bumper and shoot around me. This happened three times. Of course, at each light I pulled up right behind them. I’m not quite sure what the race to the light was, but I’m assuming they were happy to be in front of me! I often wonder how happy they would be if I decided to hit my breaks while they were on my bumper.

Amen! You must live in New York like me LOL. I find that when I’m driving those who are doing the stupid stuff are mostly Toyota drivers. Sorry for all you Toyota owners out there but it’s true here in NY. I’m starting to think that Toyotas are sucking all the good driving skills out of folks!

I used to live in NY. I’m not sure that one is worse than the other. Down here if I were to point fingers it would be at BMW drivers. Although, it’s generally across the board. I hold my breathe every time I turn the key. Safe driving to everyone!!!

My morning commute is one of the most annoying parts of my day. Mind you, I have a 10 minute drive. Inevitably one or more drivers are out of their minds. Yesterday I’m driving along in the left lane and there was a car in front of me that was stopped with its blinkers on, obviously having a problem. There were cars in the right lane preventing me from getting over immediately. Wouldn’t you know the car in back of me laid on their horn. Now I ask you, where was I to go?
Today taking my same route I came to a red light. Since I had previously been rear-ended at a red light, hard enough to total my car, I leave at least a car length in front of me as a buffer and my eye on my rearview mirror. Stopped at the light today, the car in front of me switched over to the left lane. Now I had two car lengths in front of me, the light was still red and the guy in back of me starting honking his horn. I’m wondering would it have made a major difference to him if he was one car length closer to the light? Driving, the fun just never ends! Be careful and patient out there!
